Your Body Already Knows: Why I Work Somatically, Not Strategically
If you’ve been following my work, you’ve probably seen me use words like somatic, embodiment, or alignment —especially when I talk about 1:1 sessions, tattoos, or business guidance.
And if you’ve ever wondered what that actually means, and why I don’t use traditional coaching frameworks or “step-by-step” methods, this is for you.
Because while those things might work for some people—what I’ve found is that most of the women I work with are ready for something deeper. Something that doesn’t just give them new tasks… but brings them back to themselves.
First, What Does “Somatic” Actually Mean?
Somatic = of the body.
Somatic work focuses on what’s happening in your body—not just in your mind.
A lot of the personal growth space teaches mindset, strategy, or “reprogramming.” That has its place—but in my world, we start with your nervous system, your breath, your energy, and your physical sensations.
Because your body holds more wisdom than your mind could ever access on its own. It knows what’s safe, what’s off, what’s trying to be expressed, and what’s ready to be released.
What Happens in a Somatic Session With Me?
Here’s what it typically looks and feels like—whether we’re working through energy blocks, emotional overwhelm, confidence, business clarity, or simply coming back to your body:
We begin by landing—connecting with your breath, your body, and the present moment
I guide you through gentle cues and questions to notice sensations (without needing to fix anything).
We explore what’s alive in your body: tension, constriction, warmth, numbness, emotion, etc.
We move slowly, allowing space for your body to speak back through breath, visuals, sound, or stillness
Often, we uncover a clear insight, release, or decision—not by “thinking it through,” but by listening inward
This is not a performance. You don’t have to “do it right.”
This work is about safety, self-connection, and deep clarity that comes from within.
Why I Don’t Use Strategy-First Approaches
Because most of the time, strategy only helps when you’re already in alignment. But when your body is in survival mode—burnt out, overwhelmed, stuck in perfectionism or freeze—no amount of planning or action-taking will actually land.
It’ll feel like pushing. Like spinning your wheels. Like more pressure.
Instead, I help you:
Get clear on what’s actually yours vs what you’ve been conditioned to want or do.
Move through internal resistance in a way that’s trauma-aware and non-performative.
Access decisions and directions that come from truth, not fear.
Build sustainable momentum based on your nervous system—not someone else’s blueprint.
The goal isn’t to make you work harder. It’s to help you feel more you—and let everything else flow from that place.
